JETTEN ON LEFT, KEENEN ON RIGHT
When 38-year-old Dutch politician Rob Jetten (born March 25, 1987) won prime minister of the Netherlands in February, 2026, he became the youngest person ever in that office and the first openly gay person to serve as prime minister. In November 2024 he announced his engagement to male athlete Nicolás Keenan (born May 6, 1997). Keenan is an Argentine field hockey player, a midfielder or forward for Dutch Hoofdklasse club Klein Zwitserland and the national team of Argentina. Jetten and Keenan have been in a relationship since 2022, after a chance meeting at a grocery store in The Hague.
Since August 2023 His Excellency Jetten has served as head of the Democrats 66 political party. He ran successfully on a platform of increased military spending and cuts to retirement and social programs.
