Role models of greatness.

Here you will discover the back stories of kings, titans of industry, stellar athletes, giants of the entertainment field, scientists, politicians, artists and heroes – all of them gay or bisexual men. If their lives can serve as role models to young men who have been bullied or taught to think less of themselves for their sexual orientation, all the better. Jim Verraros

Verraros, who turned 28 earlier this year, entered the world of fame as an American Idol finalist. Verraros went on to star in the gay comedy films “Eating Out” and its sequel, “Eating Out 2: Sloppy Seconds” (see clip below). Happily, this was a rare instance of a sequel surpassing the original.

He calls Bill Brennan, whom he met on MySpace, "the love of my life." They wed in Iowa on Sept. 21, 2009 after a reception at the Oak Brook Hills resort in Illinois.

Since his American Idol days, Verraros has released several vocal albums.
